The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly designated Lahore as the sole venue for all Team India matches in the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy. This decision comes amidst anticipation for India's potential visit to Pakistan after 17 years, aiming to facilitate their comfort and minimize extensive travel.

Scheduled for February 2025, the Champions Trophy will see Pakistan hosting matches across Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi over a two-week period. Notably, India has refrained from playing in Pakistan since 2008, following the Mumbai terror attacks. Bilateral encounters ceased after 2012-13, with the last Test match held in 2007.

The Asia Cup 2023, initially planned for Pakistan, adopted a hybrid model due to India's participation, with matches relocated to Sri Lanka.
